How to turn furniture in The Sims 4 on PS4 or Xbox One. In Build Mode, you can rotate an object by pressing R1 on PS4, or RB on Xbox One. To rotate the object counter-clockwise, hit L1 on PS4, or LB on Xbox One.

Rotating something this way, you will still be restricted to 45 degree rotations but by holding the ALT key as you drag, you will be able to rotate an item freely .

To avoid a grid when placing objects , all you have to do is select an object and press the ”ALT” keyboard button. While holding that button, you can move around your selected object anywhere, as long as it doesn’t touch another object or a wall. You can also rotate objects for 360°.
To do this, select the object you want to move and click on 9. The object will move up incrementally, so keep hitting 9 until it is at the height you desire. To lower the object , press 0. If you have your game set to “Sims3” camera controls, you need to hit CTRL+9 and CTRL+0 at the same time.
In The Sims 4 , you can only use your mouse to rotate furniture and objects if you are using The Sims 4 camera view. If you ‘re using The Sims 4 camera view, you can rotate objects by selecting the object and then right-clicking with your mouse while you are holding them.
